There is No Best Guitar for Beginners, but...

Yup, it's true - sorry to disappoint. While I may have my opinion on the best guitar to buy, any honest person will tell you that there simply isn't a universal "best guitar" that you can buy. It would be nice, but it isn't true. Don't fear - I can, however, give you some suggestions based on my opinion of the best gutiar to buy. If you actually buy it, well, that's up to you.

My Best Guitar for Beginners Recommendations

Naturally, the guitar a beginning guitar player needs to use will be different than that of a proffessional or rock god. A proffesional guitar player needs something that has a better sound and more effects and probably higher quality, whereas a beginning guitar player typically needs something easy to play and affordable. These suggestions are based off of gutiar skill, affordabilty, and quality. I'm making the assumption that newer guitar players probably want to pay less for their first guitar than proffesionals are willing to play. In my opinion, you're a beginner if you're just starting to learn to play guitar, or have only been at it for a few month to a year.

Electric Guitar for Beginners

If you're a beginning guitar player, the guitar player you get really doesn't matter a whole lot, to be perfectly honest. You're new to the guitar, which can mean two things; 1) you'll quite soon after a few months, or 2) you'll become passionate about the instrument and want a better, higher quality guitar.

If the case of #1, you should buy a cheap guitar because you might not enjoy it as a hobby. In the case of #2, you won't have spent that much for the beginner's guitar kit, so you haven't lost much.

I recommend that all beginning guitarists buy a gutiar kit or guitar pack. These typically range between $50 - $300, though they're usually not more than $150. Oftentimes these guitar packs include the guitar, and sometimes even a practice amp and tuner.

If you're interested in buying a guitar kit, you can check our eBay listings here.

I'd also recommend the Epiphone Les Paul Special II Player Pack if you're looking for a specific guitar pack. You can find that here on eBay or here at Guitar Center.

Acoustic Guitar for Beginners

If you're a beginner looking for an Acoustic Gutiar to start, the same advice is the same; find something cheap to start with, and move upwards from there. An acoustic guitar pack or acoustic starting kit is a wise way to go, but not necessary since you no longer need an amplifier. Acoustic guitars are generally cheaper than electic guitars or bass guitars because they don't require an amp or other electrics.

I'd recommend the following starter acoustic guitar kits:

Ibanez JamPack IJV50 Quickstart Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Pack
Ibanez Stater Kit

I

This comes with the acoustic guitar, tuner, strap, bag, and more. All your basics included. The best part is that it's only $100 and comes from Guitar Center with free shipping.

You can also search for other acoustic beginner kits here.

Bass Guitar for Beginners

Just like with the electric and acoustic guitar, the bass guitar has models that are better suited for beginners than for pros, and vice versa. For a bass gutiar you need something that has a deep, solid sound that comes out strong and not weak or flat. If you're a beginner this won't matter much, but it is something to keep in mind.

For beginning bassists, I recommend the Squie Affinity Precision Bass Pack With Fender Rumble 15 Amp to start out with.

Squire Bass Starter Pack

Conclusion

I hop this brief article has helped aid you in your search for either a beginning electriic, beginning acoustic, or beginning bass guitar kit. The above models are just suggestions, not must haves; there are many other options that are probably just as good.

I recommend you check out eBay if you're looking for a cheaper, used guitar. If you want something brand new, check out GuitarCenter.com , www.MusiciansHut.com , or www.zZounds.com . Or, as always, you can browse our own store. Good luck!
